Analisis CPUE (Catch per Unit of Effort) dan Pola Musim Penangkapan Ikan Tongkol (Euthynnus affinis) di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara (PPN) Sibolga Provinsi Sumatera Utara
Analysis of CPUE (Catch Per Unit Of Effort) and Catching Season Patterns of Tuna (Euthynnus affinis) at Sibolga Archipelago Fisheries Port (PPN), North Sumatra Province
Abstract
Tuna (Euthynnus affinis) is a type of medium-sized tuna. The dominant type of catch at the Sibolga Archipelago Fishing Harbor is from the Scombridae family. One of them is tuna, because tuna has high economic value. The research aims to analyze the catch per fishing effort and MSY, the status of the level of resource utilization and exploitation as well as the optimal fishing season pattern for tuna (Euthynnus affinis). This research was carried out in March 2024. The method uses two ways of collecting data, namely primary data collected directly through observation techniques, interviews, focused discussions, and distributing questionnaires, and secondary data using fisheries and marine statistical data at PPN Sibolga, namely annual data catches from purse seine fishing gear, annual and monthly data on tuna production and fishing effort for 2019-2023. The research results show that the CPUE value in 2019 was 2.28 tons/trip, in 2020 it was 2.71 tons/trip, in 2021 it was 2.12 tons/trip, in 2022 it was 2.47 tons/trip, and in 2023 it was 3.40 tonnes/trip. The MSY value for tuna fish resources from 2019-2023 is 2064,569 tons/year. The level of utilization and cultivation of tuna fish in PPN Sibolga is below 100% and is in the dense or optimum catch category. The TAC for tuna is 1651,66 tons/year. The highest peak fishing season for tuna fish resources occurs in December (West season) with an IMP value of 255.86%. Meanwhile, the fishing season with the lowest value was in January (West season) with an IMP value of 63.16%.
