This study analyzes directive speech acts in the film “ن الآ الجنة” / Al-Jannatu Al-Ān ("Paradise Now"). The aim of the research is to describe the number and types of directive speech act functions found in the dialogues of the film. The study is grounded in the field of pragmatics, using George Yule's theory of speech acts. The method employed is library research with observation techniques and descriptive qualitative analysis. Data were collected from the film’s dialogues and analyzed to identify the functions of directive speech acts. The results of the study show a variety of utterances. In terms of function, eleven types of directive speech acts were found: inviting, commanding, warning, questioning, prohibiting, advising, pleading, suggesting, requesting, emphasizing, and interrogating. The conclusion of this research indicates that the most dominant directive functions found in the film Al-Jannatu Al-Ān are inviting and prohibiting, which frequently appear in the dialoguesen_US
