dc.description.abstract | This research aims to investigate the proportion of male and female representation in English textbooks Authorized by the Indonesian Government Endorsed and Global Publishers in domestic and professional roles as well as gender neutral construction. This research uses qualitative descriptive analysis to examine the selected discourse. Additionally, key areas of analysis include the proportion of men, women and gender neutrals in household and professional roles, as well as gender and gender neutral visibility. The existing findings show that textbooks approved by the Indonesian Government show fair, gender neutral, and limited household functions, while Global Publishers textbooks expand on household tasks, especially gender neutral ones. Gender neutral in Indonesian Government Endorsed English textbooks and Global Publishers English textbooks strengthens international awareness of abilities and talents. | en_US |
