At a time when Indonesia was experiencing a crisis in terms of the economy, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) were one of the biggest saviors of Indonesia's economic situation. MSMEs also help broadly provide economic services to the community such as playing a role in the process of equity and increasing people's income, encouraging economic growth and also playing a role in realizing national stability. This study aims to examine the UMKM Square concept and explore design ideas with a modern architectural approach that creates buildings by paying attention to the function and effectiveness of circulation while not forgetting to integrate buildings with open spaces to improve the quality of urban space, provide health benefits, and save energy. The method used is a qualitative method in the form of a literature search originating from architectural journals, books and magazines. The results of the study show that the SQUARE MSME design will be used starting from street vendors who aim to create an organized environment. But apart from that, there are also supporting facilities such as conventions, co-working spaces and cinemas as well as open spaces that can be utilized by building users.en_US
