Potensi Pemandian Alam Sibayak sebagai Destinasi Wisata di Kecamatan Merdeka Kabupaten Karo

Abstract

The first bathing place established in Semangat Gunung Village was Sibayak Natural Bathing Place in 1980 and until now it still exists and is developing well. The purpose of this research in this paper is to determine the tourism potential of Sibayak Natural Bathing Place as a tourist destination in Semangat Gunung Village and to determine the participation of local communities in the development of Sibayak Natural Bathing Place. The author uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The results obtained are that Sibauyak Natural Bathing Place has a Unique and interesting Natural Potential, in the potential for cultural tourism, Sibayak Natural Bathing Place has less potential, only using some symbols of Karo Cultural Customs, meaning it is less cloudy in strengthening and preserving the celebration of Karo Culture. Has strong potential in man- made tourism potential. From the research results it is also known that the community actively participates in the development of Sibayak Natural Baths.
