Analisis Hubungan Indeks Vegetasi dan Kesehatan Pohon terhadap Suhu Permukaan di Taman Sri Deli Medan dan Sekitarnya
Analysis of the Relationship of Vegetation Index and Tree Health to Surface Temperature in Sri Deli Park Medan and its Surrounding
Abstract
Urban parks are part of urban spaces that play a role in shaping a healthy and sustainable urban environment. One of the city parks in Medan City is Sri Deli Park. Trees in the urban park ecosystem are able to help reduce the heat temperature around the park. Over time, various factors begin to affect the condition of the trees in the city park, which in turn can reduce their health. This study aims to analyze the distribution of vegetation index, surface temperature, and tree health status in Sri Deli Park in Medan City in 2024, and examine the relationship between the three variables. The results showed that in 2024 Sri Deli Park had a vegetation index value of 0,08 – 0,20. The results of tree health analysis obtained that trees in Sri Deli Park are in a healthy to severely damaged condition, consisting of 4 healthy trees, 42 lightly damaged, 35 moderately damaged, and 1 severely damaged. Correlation analysis shows a close relationship between vegetation index and tree health, where the test results have a directly proportional relationship direction. Then the regression test results show that vegetation index has a negative and significant effect on the dependent variable, while distance from the park has a positive and significant effect.
