Mosquitoe particulary Aedes aegypti is the main vectors of the dengue disease that cause dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) on human.. The disease has anthropophilic and zoophilic characteristics. The female mosquito requires blood as their food for egg development. This study aims was to compare the development of Ae. aegypti mosquito eggs feeded by human blood (Homo sapiens) and mouse blood (Mus musculus L.). This study was conducted from December 2024 to January 2025 at Vector Laboratory and BPP of Medan Public Health Laboratory Center (BLKM). The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with two treatments, using human (Homo sapiens) and mouse bloo. Each treatment was replicate three times. The parameters analyzed were number of hatching eggs, larvae, pupae, and adult stage. The results showed that hatching eggs feeded by human blood was 93.70%, while mouse blood was 66.87%. The percentage of successful larvae becoming adult feeded by human blood was 90.02%, while in mouse blood was 65.4%. The number eggs develoved to became adult feeded by human blood was 13 days, while in the mouse blood 14 days. There is no significant difference between stage of egg, larvae, pupae, and adult. However egg development feeded by human blood is in that of mouse blood.en_US
