Analisis Model Pengelolaan Mangrove Berbasis Sosial Ekologi pada Kelompok Tani Penghijauan Maju Bersama di Desa Pasar Rawa, Kabupaten Langkat

Abstract

Mangrove forest management in Indonesia cannot be separated from community involvement. The mangrove ecosystem has a very important role in maintaining environmental balance, both from an ecological and socio-economic perspective. However, the existence of mangrove ecosystems in Indonesia, including in Langkat Regency, is increasingly threatened due to land conversion, unsustainable fishing and climate change. The decline in mangrove area in Indonesia has reached 40% in the last two decades. The serious damage to mangroves gave birth to fighters who want to improve the mangrove ecosystem, namely the Maju Bersama Forest Farmers Group. The existence of the Maju Bersama Reforestation KTH has helped preserve the mangroves in Pasar Rawa Village. The aim of this research is to analyze the socio-ecological-based mangrove management model at KTH Peng Hijauan Maju Bersama, Pasar Rawa Village, Langkat Regency, in Pasar Rawa Village, Gebang District, Langkat Regency and determine the factors that influence mangrove management. This research was carried out in September-December 2023 in Pasar Rawa Village. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, in the form of data analysis by describing or illustrating the data that has been obtained. The results of this research show that the social-ecology-based management model for farmer groups in mangrove conservation efforts is in the resilient category.Resilient results with a resilience index of 0.61 indicate that the mangrove management model implemented is quite effective in the Maju Bersama Reforestation Forest Farmer Group, Gebang District, Langkat Regency.
