dc.description.abstract | Aggressiveness is an act committed to hurt or distress others, either physically or
psychologically. By possessing self-compassion, a person can reduce Aggressiveness
behavior in themselves. Self-compassion is the ability to be kind and understanding
towards oneself when experiencing suffering, failure, or making personal mistakes,
which brings goodness to oneself, a sense of common humanity, and mindfulness. This
study involved 344 students from North Sumatra University as research subjects. The
approach used was quantitative, with measurement tools in the form of the Self
Compassion Scale (SCS) and the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire (BPAQ). The
data obtained were processed using simple linear regression analysis techniques with a p
value of <0.001 or <0.05 and a correlation value (R) of 0.997 and (R²) of 0.954, meaning
that the hypothesis of this study was accepted, indicating a negative relationship of 95.4%
between self-compassion and agression among students at North Sumatra University. | en_US |
