Analisis Kelayakan Usahatani Cabai Merah Keriting (Capsicum Annum L) (Studi Kasus : Desa Sidodadi Rumania, Kecamatan Beringin, Kabupaten Deli Serdang)

Abstract

This research is titled by "Feasibility Analysis of Curly Red Chili Farming (Capsicum annuum L)" conducted in Desa Sidodadi, Kecamatan Beringin, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. The purpose of this research is to analyze the income level of farmers and the feasibility of red chili farming in the research location. The data collection method was carried out by directly interviewing on farmers, by asking several questions contained in the questionnaire prepared before. The results of the research show that the income of farmers per planting season and per hectare is Rp. 17,001,175 and Rp. 34,059,824, with revenue per planting season and per hectare being Rp. 21,400,000 and Rp. 43,190,000, and production costs per planting season and per hectare amounting to Rp. 4,398,825 and Rp. 9,130,176. The feasibility analysis shows a Revenue-Cost Ratio (R/C) per planting season and hectare of 4.63 and 4.73, which are greater than 1, indicating that this farming venture is worth pursuing. Additionally, the Break Even Point (BEP) analysis per planting season and hectare shows that the BEP Price is lower than the selling price, the BEP Production is lower than the total production, and the BEP Revenue is lower than the total revenue, which means that the cultivation of curly red chili in Kecamatan Beringin , Kabupaten Deli Serdang is feasible to undertake.
