The rising number of theft and robbery cases highlights the urgent need for more advanced security systems, especially for safeguarding safes that store valuable items and important documents. Conventional security methods, such as combination or physical locks, still have many weaknesses, including being easy to forget or break into. This research develops an automatic safe system with theft detection and room locking features based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The system integrates various sensors, including the PIR HC-, AS608 fingerprint sensor, SW-420 vibration sensor, as well as the RC522 RFID module and ESP32, with real-time notifications sent to users via the Telegram application using ESP-NOW communication. Testing results show that the system can detect motion up to 3.8 meters within an optimal angle of 120°, while the fingerprint sensor has a False Acceptance Rate (FAR) of 0% and a False Rejection Rate (FRR) of 10%. The SW-420 sensor responds to disturbances with an average time of 0.2 seconds, while ESP-NOW communication successfully transmits data with an average delay of 1.2 seconds. This system provides an effective and innovative multi-layered security solution for theft prevention and enables efficient remote monitoring. With the combination of IoT technology and multi-sensor authentication, the system significantly outperforms conventional methods in enhancing the security of safes and rooms.
