    Abstract
This research aims to describe the genetic structuralism in the novel Namaku Alam by Leila S. Chudori. This research is a sociology of literature study that uses Lucien Goldmann's Genetic Structuralism theory. The selection of this theory is based on the understanding that a literary work cannot be separated from the background of the social conditions of the society where the author comes from and develops as the creator of the work. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive analysis method carried out on data decomposed in the form of words, not in the form of numbers. The research results obtained in this study are genetic structuralism in the novel Namaku Alam by Leila S. Chudori which consists of five components, namely human facts, collective subjects, author's worldview, structure of literary works, and dialectic of understanding-explanation. So, based on the description of the research results above, it can be concluded that the human facts component is the most prominent among the five components. This proves that Namaku Alam depicts the historical trauma of a political tragedy that was not only experienced by the generation that was directly victimized, but also by the next generation and the political persecution of the families of political prisoners. Therefore, the novel is a representation of the author's consciousness that fights for justice and historical reconciliation apart from reflecting the social reality depicted in the novel.
