Perbandingan Perilaku Seksual pada Remaja di SMAS Tamansiswa Dan Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Proyek Univa di Kota Medan 2024

Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional phase from childhood to adulthood, during which individuals experience physical, cognitive, socio-emotional, and sexual behavioral development as preparation for adulthood. Adolescence is a period full of challenges, especially regarding sexual behavior. Many factors influence such behavior, including knowledge, attitudes, and actions. The aim of this study is to examine the differences in sexual behavior among adolescents at SMAS Tamansiswa and Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Proyek UNIVA in 2024. This study employs a quantitative analytical approach with a cross-sectional design. The population consists of 70 students from SMAS Tamansiswa and MAS Proyek UNIVA, where the entire population serves as research subjects. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire, then analyzed using an independent T-test. The results show a significant difference in knowledge about sexual behavior among adolescents at SMAS Tamansiswa and MAS Proyek UNIVA in 2024, with a p-value of 0.013 < α = 0.05. Furthermore, there is a difference in attitudes toward sexual behavior among adolescents at SMAS Tamansiswa and MAS Proyek UNIVA in 2024, with a p-value of 0.142 > α = 0.05, and there is a relationship between actions and sexual behavior among adolescents at SMAS Tamansiswa and MAS Proyek UNIVA in 2024, with a p-value of 0.174 > α = 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there are differences in knowledge, attitudes, and actions related to sexual behavior among adolescents. Therefore, schools are encouraged to minimize adolescent sexual behavior by providing reproductive health education, and collaboration with parents is also crucial to support students' moral development
