Pengaruh Sektor Pertanian dan Sektor Industri Terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi di Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Economic growth is one of the important indicators to analyze economic development that occurs in a country which is measured by the difference in Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in a certain year with the previous year. Deli Serdang Regency has the potential of the agricultural sector, industrial sector and services sector which are quite large and provide a significant contribution to economic growth. Deli Serdang Regency must continue to be able to develop its region, because Deli Serdang Regency has potential in various economic sectors. This study aims to determine the influence of the agricultural sector and the industrial sector on economic growth in Deli Serdang Regency. The type of research used is a quantitative descriptive approach. Using panel data with a time period of 1994-2023 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and then analyzed using SPSS. The objects of research are the agricultural sector, the industrial sector and economic growth. The data analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression tests. Testing is carried out with the model used, namely the classical assumption test (normality, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing). The results of the study show that the agricultural sector has a positive but insignificant effect on economic growth in Deli Serdang Regency. The industrial sector has a positive effect on economic growth in Deli Serdang Regency. The agricultural sector and the industrial sector together (simultaneously) have a positive effect on economic growth in Deli Serdang Regency.
