Pengaruh Pemberian Ekstrak Jamur Tiram (Pleurotus ostreatus) terhadap Histologi Ginjal Tikus (Rattus norvegicus) Model Hiperlipidemia
The Effect of Giving Oyster Mushroom Extract (Pleurotus Ostreatus) on Kidney Histology of Rats (Rattus Norvegicus L.) Hyperlipidemia Model
Abstract
Hyperlipidemia can cause impaired kidney function. Oyster mushrooms
(Pleurotus ostreatus) contain lovastatin which is able to reduce cholesterol levels in
the blood. This study aims to determine the effect of oyster mushroom extract
administration on urea, creatinine and uric acid levels in the blood, morphology and
histology of the kidneys of rats (Rattus norvegicus) hyperlipidemia models. This study
used a Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 6 treatment groups and 4
replicates. The treatment group consisted of K- which was a group of normal rats, K+
namely rats fed high fat and a treatment group that was fed with high fat with
simvastatin treatment and oyster mushroom extract with doses of 150, 300 and 450
mg/KgBW. The results showed that the treatment with oyster mushroom extract had no
effect on urea levels, creatinine and blood uric acid (p>0.05), but at a dose of 450
mg/KgBW was able to improve kidney morphology including color, texture and weight
as well kidney histology including glomeric diameter, proximal tubule wall thickness
and necrosis (p<0.05) that occurs due to high-fat feeding.
