Karakteristik Klinis Penderita Sirosis Hati yang Dirawat Inap di Departemen Ilmu Penyakit dalam RSUP Haji Adam Malik Medan Tahun 2014

Abstract

Cirrhosis hepatic is a disease that characterized by chronic diffuse inflammation progressively with distorsion of the liver and regenerative nodul. Cirrhosis ranks eighteenth cause of death in the world, with prevalence of 1.3 % or 800,000 case per year. The major cause of cirrhosis hepatic is chronic infection of viral hepatitis especially hepatitis B, C virus and the other cause is alcohol consumption. This study aimed to expose characterize of patient with cirrhosis hepatic that hospitalized in RSUP Haji Adam Malik Medan in 2014. The method that use in this study is a retrospective decriptive study with secondary data that is medical record of patient. The data were obtained amounted 116 patient with cirrhosis hepatic. The result show that the highest proportion in cirrhosis hepatic patient by gender is male (68.1%), the major cause is infection of hepatitis B viral (48.3%), age group > 60 years (25.9%), the most common of clinical features is ascites (42.2%), and most complication is gastrointestinal bleeding (27.6%).
