Pengaruh Pertumbuhan Ekonomi, Investasi, dan Urbanisasi Terhadap Kesempatan Kerja di ASEAN

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Economic Growth, Investment, and Urbanisation both in the short and long term on Employment Opportunities in ASEAN (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam). This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive research. The objects used in this study are 5 countries in ASEAN, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. The data used is time series data from 2000-2023. Data collection was carried out using secondary data sourced from the Worldbank and ILOSTAT. This study was analysed using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) panel model. The results show that in the long run, Economic Growth and Urbanisation variables have a negative and significant effect on the Employment Opportunity variable in ASEAN. Meanwhile, the Investment variable has a positive and significant effect on the Employment Opportunity variable in ASEAN. In the short term, Economic Growth and Economic Growth variables in lag 1 have a positive and significant effect on the Employment Opportunity variable in ASEAN. However, Investment and Urbanisation variables have no significant effect at all lags on the Employment Opportunity variable in ASEAN.
