Pengaruh Karakteristik, Kualitas Pelayanan Kesehatan, Dukungan Keluarga Terhadap Kepatuhan Minum Obat Pasien TB

Abstract

Pulmonary TB is a public health problem because it infects one third of the world's population, especially developing countries, including Indonesia. Pulmonary TB is the 9th cause of death worldwide with the main cause being a single infectious agent. If treatment is not carried out completely, it can cause dangerous complications leading to death. Indonesia is among the three countries with the highest number of tuberculosis (TB) cases in the world, the estimated number of cases in 2023 is 1,060,000. In 2021, North Sumatra will be the 6th province with the largest number of TB cases after West Java, Central Java, East Java, DKI Jakarta, Banten. North Sumatra contributed 22,169 TB cases to the total number of TB cases in Indonesia. The research aims to determine the influence of characteristics, quality of health services and family support on compliance with taking medication for pulmonary TB patients at the Pagar Merbau Community Health Center. Type of explanatory research (Explanatory Research). The population of this study included 35 TB patients at the Pagar Merbau Community Health Center. The research sample was all TB patients using a non-probability sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The research results showed that the majority of respondents were elderly with a total of 48.6 percent, the patient's gender was 65.7 percent male. The majority of patient education was in the high category, 82.9 percent. The quality of Pagar Merbau Health Center health services is in the good category, family support is in the good category. Compliance with taking medication for TB patients is in the very good category. Bivariate test results show that there is an influence of the quality of health services and family support on compliance with taking medication for TB patients at the Pagar Merbau Community Health Center. The family support variable influences medication adherence in TB patients at the Pagar Merbau Community Health Center by 7,800 times.
