Pengaruh Konsentrasi POC Daun Gamal pada Daun dan Tanah terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Sorgum
Effect of Concentration of Gamal Leaf POC on Leaves and Soil on Growth and Production of Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench)
Abstract
The continuous use of inorganic fertilizers can have a negative impact, this can be overcome by using liquid organic fertilizer derived from gamal leaves applied to leaves and soil. This study aims to determine the effect of applying liquid organic fertilizer from gamal leaves on leaves and soil on the growth and production of sorghum plants. This research was conducted on community land in Bandar Klippa Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency. With an altitude of ± 25 meters above sea level and carried out in December 2022 until completion, using a randomized group design with 2 factors. The first factor is the application on the
leaves with concentrations consisting of control, 50 ml/L, 100 ml/L, 150 ml/L and the second factor is the application on the soil with concentrations of control, 50 ml/L, 100 ml/L, 150 ml/L. The results showed that the treatment of gamal leaf liquid organic fertilizer application through the leaves had a significant effect on the observed variables of plant height at the age of 2, 8 and 10 weeks after planting. In plant production parameters, the application through the leaves showed a significant effect on the dry weight of the stalk and the weight of seeds per sample. The treatment of gamal leaf liquid organic fertilizer application through the soil
had a significant effect on the observed variable of stem diameter. In plant production parameters, foliar application showed a significant effect on dry weight of stover and seed weight per plot. The interaction between POC application through the leaves and through the soil had no significant effect on all observation parameters.
