The river is a long stream that flows from upstream to downstream, the Percut river flows from the upstream area of Sibolangit sub-district to the downstream area of Percut Sei Tuan sub-district. The number of activities in the waters of the Percut river estuary such as fishing boats that use fuel, waste from community activities and industrial waste and waste from agricultural areas located from the watershed that are carried by water currents so that they can affect river water quality and have an impact on the accumulation of heavy metals in water and tilapia species (Oreochromis niloticus) in the Percut river estuary. The purpose of this research is to analyze the content of heavy metals Pb and Cd in tilapia and water of the Percut river estuary and compare it with quality standards, this research was conducted using Purposive sampling method by determining 3 sampling points based on activities around the waters, the research method used to analyze heavy metals using AES (Atomic Emission Spectroscopy). The test results obtained Pb metal levels are: (1). Tilapia and water at station 1 amounted to 0.011552 mg/kg and 0.000125 mg/L; (2). Tilapia and water at station 2 amounted to 0.000547 mg/kg and 0.000117 mg/L; (3). Tilapia and water at station 3 amounted to 0.000005 mg/kg and 0.000116 mg/L, while the tests obtained Cd metal levels are: (1). Tilapia and water at station 1 amounted to 0.000005 mg/kg and 0.000447 mg/L. (2). Tilapia and water at station 2 amounted to 0.000005 mg/kg and 0.000362 mg/L. (3). Tilapia and water at station 3 amounted to 0.000225 mg/L, It is concluded that the measurement results of Pb and Cd concentrations in tilapia are still below the quality limit values based on SNI 7387: 2009, namely 0.3 mg / kg and 0.1 mg / kg and the measurement results of Pb and Cd concentrations in Percut river estuary water are also still below the quality limit values based on PP.RI. No. 22 of 2021, namely 0.05 mg/L and 0.01 mg/L. Analysis of the relationship between heavy metals Pb and Cd with physical factors of aquatic chemistry is quite good.en_US
