Analisis Implementasi Prinsip Good Governance di Kecamatan Stabat Kabupaten Langkat Tahun 2020-2024

Abstract

In the current era of democracy, Indonesians can freely express their opinions and control government policies. However, the freedom given is one of the factors that trigger people to demand the government to work properly. Along with this, the government activities of Stabat Sub-district, in this case the role of the Head of Subdistrict as the top leader at the sub-district level, also faces obstacles in an effort to realise good governance. In general, there are problems in Stabat Sub-district, such as public service problems, internal organisational / work unit problems and regional problems that need attention from the government and all parties. Good governance requires a balance of roles between all supporting elements, namely government, private sector and society. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with observation, interview and documentation techniques to complete the data. The results showed that the implementation of the principles of good governance in Stabat District of Langkat Regency in 2020-2024 has been implemented because the indicators of the principles of good governance have been fulfilled but not maximised. Supporting factors in the implementation of good governance principles in Stabat District of Langkat Regency in 2020-2024 include: community participation, communication, and exemplary leaders. Furthermore, the inhibiting factors include: crisis of public trust and lack of human resources and thuggery.
