Pengaruh Ekstrak Etanol Lumut Hati Marchantia paleacea Bertol. Pada Jaringan Payudara Tikus (Rattus norvegicus L.) Setelah Diinduksi 7,12 Dimetilbenz(α)anthracene (DMBA)
The Effect of Methanol Extract From Marchantia paleacea Bertol. in Rat Breast Tissue (Rattus norvegicus L.) Induction by 7,12 Dimethylbenzen(a)anthracene (DMBA)
Abstract
nticancer agent, It possesses antiproliferative properties, and may influence the
growth of mammary nodules. This study seeks to assess the impact of Marchantia
paleacea Bertol methanol extract on the breast tissue of rats (Rattus norvegicus L.)
induced by 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthracene (DMBA). This research employed a
Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Twenty-four rats were allocated into various
treatment groups, comprising a negative control group (DMBA without treatment); a
positive control group (doxorubicin administration), and treatment groups receiving
Marchantia paleacea methanol extract designated as P1, P2, and P3, with dosages of
50, 150, and 150 mg/KgBW, respectively.
The observations included the
hematological analysis, the shape of breast nodules, and the histological examination
of mammary glands. The analytical results indicate that the administration of
Marchantia paleacea methanol extract considerably (p<0.05) has an effect on
increasing the number of erythrocytes, leukoctys, hemoglobin, and hematocrit
revealing a notable difference between the group receiving Marchantia paleacea
liverwort extract and the negative control group. The observations of nodule
morphology and histology in the intralobular and interlobular ducts reveal a
significant difference (p<0.05), particularly between the negative control group and
all liverwort extract treatment groups. The administration of 100 mg/kgBW is
determined to be the most efficacious dosage, evidence by the enhancement of the
blood profile, reduction in mammary nodule size, and the minimal tissue damage and
severity scores.
