Pemodelan Spasial Kehilangan Biomassa Akibat Perambahan Mangrove Menggunakan Citra Satelit RADAR Sentinel-1A di Desa Lubuk Kertang
Spatial Modeling of Biomass Loss Due to Mangrove Encroachment Using RADAR Sentinel-1A Satellite Imagery in Lubuk Kertang Village
Abstract
Mangrove ecosystems have an important role in coastal ecosystems, including as habitats for various species, protecting coastlines from erosion, and effective carbon storage. However, human activities such as clearing for agriculture, housing, and infrastructure development often threaten the existence of these mangrove forests, resulting in the release of large amounts of carbon into the atmosphere. This study aims to build a model of biomass loss due to mangrove encroachment in Lubuk Kertang Village spatially using sentinel-1 satellite images. The method of data collection in the field was carried out by purposive sampling of 150 observation plots measuring 20x20m. The measurement of biomass loss uses an allometric equation. The results of measuring the average biomass loss in the field were: 83,89 Tons/Ha. The best estimator model in this study is an exponential model using VV (Vertical transmite-Vertikal receive) polarization with the equation y = 19.84e-0.19x, R-Square of 0.67, Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) error rate of 17,89 and T-Paired Test 0.41.
