dc.description.abstractThis study aims to determine and to analyze the food feeded by long tailed monkey (Macaca fascicularis) in Sicanang mangrove ecosystem. The study was based on the knowledge of local fishermen. A qualitative data was obtained from community in the area and semi-structured interviews with local fishermen. The results showed that food feeded by long tailed monkey consisted of 11 types of natural food from 6 plant families and Acanthaceae was the most dominant. Anthropogenic waste foods such as leftover rice, instant noodles, and biscuits were also consumed. Young leaves were the most frequently eaten (72.72%), followed by fruits (36.36%), stems (27.27%), and roots (18.18%).en_US
