    Abstract
Kampung Nipah is one of the coastal areas located in Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra. The waters in the Kampung Nipah area are widely used for various activities that have the potential to affect water quality due to the heavy metals. This study aims to analyze the lead heavy metal content in the roots, bark, and leaves of the mangrove Avicennia marina as well as in the water and sediment of Kampung Nipah waters. Samples were taken from three stations using purposive sampling methods. The analysis of lead heavy metals was performed using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The results of the study show that the lead content (0.0017-0.0018) found in the leaves is still far below the quality standard according to the Ministry of Environment Regulation No. 51 of 2004. The lead content (0.0017-0.0018) in the roots is also well below the standard quality according to Minister of Environment Regulation No. 51 of 2004, as well as the lead content (0.0017) in the bark. Futhermore, the lead content (0.0017-0.0018) in the sediment is also still well below the quality standard according to ANZECC and ARMCANZ. The lead content (0.000005) in the water is still far below the quality standard according to Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021. The bioconcentration factor (BCF) of heavy metal lead is 1, which is falls into the indicator category. This study shows that the waters in Nipah Village are still classified as low in lead heavy metal pollution, but further research is still needed.
