This research aimed to examine the effect of adding sauerkraut liquid from cabbage as a probiotic on feed intake, egg production, and feed conversion in laying-phase quail. The research was conducted at the Animal Science research cage of Universitas Sumatera Utara in February to March 2024. The design experiment used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications was used, where each replication contained 5 laying quails. The treatments consisted of P0 (control drinking water), P1 (1.5 ml sauerkraut liquid in drinking water), P2 (3 ml sauerkraut liquid in drinking water), and P3 (4.5 ml sauerkraut liquid in drinking water). The results showed that the treatments had a highly significant effect (P > 0.01) on feed intake, egg production, and feed conversion of laying quails. Treatment P2 had a positive effect on the performance of laying quails.
