Abstract
Technological advancements have driven the increased adoption of digital wallets. This study aims to analyze the effect of risk perception, perceived benefits, perceived ease of use, and trust level on the periodic usage decision of digital wallets among students of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU). This research is associative in nature, utilizing quantitative data. The population consists of 3,135 active FEB USU students in the academic year 2024/2025. The sample was selected using a random sampling technique, and data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 356 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that, partially, risk perception has a negative and non-significant effect, perceived benefits have a positive and significant effect, perceived ease of use has a positive and significant effect, and trust level has a positive and significant effect on the periodic usage decision of digital wallets among FEB USU students. These findings suggest that higher perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and trust level increase the tendency for periodic digital wallet usage, while concerns related to risk perception do not significantly influence the usage decision, indicating it is not a primary factor in the decision-making process.
