Pengaruh Pemberian Air Minum Dengan Air Seduhan Bunga Telang (Clitoria ternatea) Terhadap Kualitas Kimia Daging Ayam Broiler

Abstract

Antioxidants are one of the compounds that have the ability to reduce and prevent stress that occurs in broiler chickens. This study aims to determine the effect of giving drinking water with Clitoria ternatea flower infusion on the chemical quality of broiler chicken meat. This study was conducted in a research cage located at Jl. Besar Delitua Gg. Cempaka No.42C and was carried out for 35 days. This study used an experimental design, namely a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments used in this study consisted of P0 = control; P1=15 ml/L; P2=30 ml/L; P3=45 ml/L; P4=60 ml/L. The variables observed in this study include protein content, fat content, and cholesterol content of meat. The results of the study showed that giving drinking water with butterfly pea flower infusion did not have a significant effect (P>0.05) on the protein content and fat content of broiler chicken meat. However, it had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the cholesterol content of broiler chicken meat with an average value ranging from 223.43 - 155.75 mg/kg. From the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that giving drinking water with butterfly pea flower infusion has been proven to be able to reduce cholesterol levels in broiler chicken meat with the best treatment level being 60 ml/L.
