This study aims to determine several candlenut genotypes morphology and kinship relationships (Aleurites moluccana) in Juhar District, Tigabinanga District and Munte District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province. This research was conducted in January 2025 to February 2025 using a survey method based on the IPGRI (International Plant Genetic Resources) mangosteen descriptor guidebook with purposive sampling and accidental sampling techniques. The characteristic results of 27 candlenut genotypes in Karo Regency are woody stems and grow upright, dark green leaves, flat edges and smooth texture, leaf blade shape (lanceolate, elliptic and ovate), leaf base shape (rounded and truncate), white flowers, blackish brown fruit with a smooth texture, fruit shape (flattened, round, ovoid and oblong) and white kernels. The closest kinship relationship based on the dissimilarity value is found in the MTB1 and MTB2 genotypes, which is 4,000. While the furthest kinship relationship is found in the MSN3 and TLK2 genotypes, which is 57,000.
