dc.description.abstract | Anemia is one of the three nutritional problems experienced by adolescents. Anemia is prone to occur in adolescent girls due to low nutritional intake and is triggered by low food consumption diversity. The indirect impact of anemia is the disruption of the quality of life of adolescent girls. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between iron nutrient intake, vitamin C protein, and diversity of food consumption with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls at SMK Negeri 7 Medan in 2024. The type of research used was an analytic survey using a cross sectional study design. The population in this study were adolescent girls in grades X and XI in the MPLB (Office Management and Business Services) department, namely 413 adolescent girls. The formula used in sampling is the slovin formula, so the sample in this study was 85 adolescent girls. Data on nutritional intake and diversity of food consumption were collected by recalling 2x24 hours, and data on the incidence of anemia were collected by measuring Hb levels. The results showed that 22 adolescent girls experienced anemia and 63 adolescent girls did not experience anemia. There was a relationship between iron intake and the incidence of anemia (p = 0.001). There is a relationship between protein intake and the incidence of anemia (p = 0.001). There is a relationship between vitamin C and the incidence of anemia (p = 0.012). There is a relationship between food consumption diversity and the incidence of anemia (p = 0.002). | en_US |
