dc.description.abstract | CV. Teknologi Tepat Guna is a manufacturing company engaged in appropriate technology for agricultural machinery, including candlenut shelling machines, oil palm threshing machines, and grass chopping machines. Common problems found in the company are that the company's production does not reach the company's production target. The suboptimal completion of this target is caused by the production line resulting from the irregular layout of the work station, the presence of by-passing and backtracking flows. Based on this problem, improvements were made to the layout of the company's production floor using the artificial bee colony and differential evolution algorithms. By comparing the total distance, total displacement moment and material handling costs in the actual layout, the proposed layout from both methods obtained a layout design with the artificial bee colony method with a total distance of 239.8 meters, a total material displacement moment of 132,403.90 meters/month and a material handling cost of Rp9.104.346,21 per month with a line efficiency rate value of 81%. | en_US |
