Perbedaan Tingkat Impostor Phenomenon antara Mahasiswa Tahun Pertama dan Mahasiswa Tahun Terakhir Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Sumatera Utara
Differences in the Level of Impostor Phenomenon Between First-Year and Final-Year Students of the Faculty of Psychology University of North Sumatera
Abstract
This study aims to analyze and identify the differences in the level of impostor
phenomenon between first-year and final-year students of the Faculty of
Psychology, Universitas Sumatera Utara. In this study, the number of respondents
was 200 people, consisting of 100 first-year students (class of 2024) and 100 final
year students (class of 2021). The method used in this research is a comparative
quantitative method with data collection using a Likert scale, namely the Clance
Impostor Phenomenon Scale (CIPS) developed by Clance (1985) and adapted by
the researcher, consisting of 20 items. The obtained data were analyzed using the
Independent Sample T-Test technique. Based on the results of the study, the t value
was -1.297 with a p value of 0.229 (p > 0.05). The results showed that there is no
significant difference in the level of impostor phenomenon between first-year and
final-year students of the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
