Background: Basically, the development of ethics is influenced by human life. Ethics helps humans to be able to take the right attitude and action in living their lives. Ethics can also be used in all aspects of life such as in service. Good service requires good service ethics. In service ethics, there are several components in carrying out good service.
Objective: This study aims to determine and identify the role of employee ethics in serving students in the Diploma III Secretariat Study Program, Faculty of Vocational Studies, USU
Method: This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. This method focuses on collecting data using a questionnaire, to understand good employee ethics in serving students so that students feel satisfied with the service provided.
Results: The results of the study indicate that good customer service procedures can also affect employee ethics in serving students in the D-III Secretariat Study Program, University of North Sumatra.
Conclusion: Employees are sufficiently aware of carrying out their obligations to provide good service, so this indicates that these employees have high work ethics and student satisfaction is also fulfilled with this.
