    Abstract
Indonesia is a country located in an area of volcanic and tectonic activity and is located between plate confluences. This causes the risk of earthquakes and tsunamis that trigger landslides. Sibolangit District is an area with large plateaus and high rainfall, so there is a great potential for landslides. This study aims to analyze the level of landslide risk based on the Geographic Information System (GIS) which is expected to be useful in more effective landslide disaster mitigation measures in Sibolangit District. This research is located in Sibolangit District which analyzes the level of vulnerability, vulnerability, and capacity of the region using the QGIS 3.22.5 application with scoring and overlay techniques referring to the Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 22/PRT/M/2007 and the Regulation of the Head of BNPN No. 2 of 2012 so as to produce the level of landslide risk which is then validated with the ROC curve. Based on the results of the analysis, the risk level of landslides in Sibolangit District consists of 5 classes, namely the very low risk level class (14,169 km^2), Low-Risk Grade (3,289 km^2), Medium risk class (56,741 km^2), high-risk class (63,542 km^2), and very high risk level classes (24,633 km^2). Sibolangit District is dominated by a high risk level with a total of 8 sub-districts/villages, namely Batu Layang, Bukum, Ketangguhan, Rumah Pil-Pil, Sembahe, Sibolangit, Sikebe, and Suka Maju.
