    Abstract
Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis jacq) is one of the plantation plants that has good industrial prospects in the local and world markets. oil palm plantations in Indonesia as the main producer of palm oil which produces more than 44% of the world's palm oil. The high production of palm oil can produce pollution that can have a negative impact on the environment. However, the waste produced also contains the potential for useful organic materials. One step that can be taken is to utilise waste from palm oil mills as fertiliser. This not only reduces pollution but also increases soil fertility naturally. Naturally composted oil palm empty fruit bunches take a long time ranging from 6-9 months, requiring microorganisms such as bacteria that can accelerate the composting process. Researchers chose to use two different species of bacteria from O. rhinoceros larvae, with different doses because to see the difference between two different species of bacteria in composting oil palm empty fruit bunches. The purpose of this study was to see the ability of different doses of symbiont bacteria species as decomposers of oil palm empty fruit bunches. his research was conducted at the Plant Disease Laboratory and Greenhouse of the Agrotechnology Study Programme, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra. This research was conducted from January 2025 to March 2025. This research was conducted using a factorial randomised design (RAK) with 2 factors and 6 replicates. The results showed that two different species of symbiont bacteria can be a good decomposer of oil palm empty fruit bunches. The best treatment on C/N ratio is P. aeruginosa with a dose of 75ml/1kg with a ratio value of 25.58, while for the best treatment on pH is B. stercoris with a dose of 50 ml/1kg with a pH value of 6.83.
