The development of digital technology has brought new innovations in payment
methods, one of which is electronic money or E-Money. E-Money enables users to
make cashless transactions in a faster, more efficient, and practical manner,
especially among the younger generation such as students. Although E-Money
offers many conveniences, its acceptance among students still varies. This study
aims to determine the influence of accessibility and security on the interest in using
E-Money among students of the Vocational Faculty at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The research employs a quantitative approach with data collected through a Likert
scale-based questionnaire distributed to 103 respondents, who are active students
of the Vocational Faculty at Universitas Sumatera Utara. The data were analyzed
using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 27. The results
show that both accessibility and security have a positive and significant effect on
the interest in using E-Money. Simultaneously, accessibility and security also have
a positive and significant influence on E-Money usage. These findings indicate that
the higher the students' perception of ease of access and level of security, the greater
their interest in using E-Money.
