Pengaruh Capital Structure, Growth Opportunity, Earning Persistence, dan Systematic Risk Terhadap Earning Response Coefficient Pada Perusahaan Sektor Energi yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2020-2024

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of capital structure, growth opportunity, earning persistence, and systematic risk on the earnings response coefficient in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. A total of 39 companies were sampled with a 5-year observation period, resulting in 195 observations. The data used was secondary data obtained from the official website of the IDX and the companies' official websites. The analytical method used was multiple linear regression. Based on data analysis using hypothesis testing, it was shown that earning persistence had a positive influence on the earnings response coefficient, while systematic risk had a negative influence. Other variables, namely capital structure and growth opportunity did not have an impact on the earnings response coefficient. Simultaneously, capital structure, growth opportunity, earning persistence, and systematic risk influenced the earnings response coefficient.
