Peran Pelatihan dalam Meningkatkan Pengetahuan dan Keterampilan Pelaku UMKM Binaan Rumah BUMN Medan

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in the Indonesian economy, especially in terms of job creation and income distribution. However, many MSMEs players face constraints in terms of business knowledge and skills. Rumah BUMN Medan is present as an initiative to empower MSMEs through training programs that aim to improve the overall quality of the business. This study aims to determine the extent to which the training provided by Rumah BUMN Medan is able to improve the knowledge and skills of the MSMEs it assists. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires. The research sample consisted of eight MSMEs players assisted by Rumah BUMN Medan who had participated in the training. Data were analyzed descriptively based on respondents' responses to a number of indicators. The results showed that the training provided by Rumah BUMN Medan was carried out regularly, according to the needs of the participants, and delivered by competent resource persons. The training was proven to improve the understanding of MSMEs actors in business management, legality, digital marketing, product innovation, and financial management. In addition, the training also had an impact on increasing confidence in running a business. Training organized by Rumah BUMN Medan has a significant role in improving the knowledge and skills of MSMEs players. This program can continue to be developed as an effective and sustainable local economic empowerment strategy.
