This study analyzes the influence of financial literacy on the consumptive behavior of Diploma-III Finance Study Program students at the University of North Sumatra, given the low financial understanding among students and college students based on SNLIK 2023 which has the potential to influence independent financial decisions. Using 101 samples from a total population of 135 and analyzed using simple linear regression tests, the results show that financial literacy significantly affects consumptive behavior. This finding confirms that there is a significant relationship between financial literacy and consumptive behavior of college students, emphasizing the importance of improving financial understanding to manage spending more wisely.en_US
