dc.description.abstractPT. Mutiara Mukti Farma is a company engaged in the production of medicines, which relies heavily on an efficient storage system in its warehouse to ensure smooth product distribution. This study discusses the improvement of warehouse layout using the Gravity Location Model (GLM) and product placement with Class Based Storage to improve the efficiency of arranging goods to be more organized. This study proves that the fixed storage system in the initial layout is less flexible, causing an imbalance in shelf usage. The proposed layout based on demand classes offers a more adaptive space allocation, facilitates access to high-rotation products, and overall is more optimal in utilizing warehouse capacity. The results of the Gravity Location Model method are the total distance of actual and proposed displacement, with a total distance of actual displacement of 55,517m and a total distance of proposed displacement of 38517.5m with a total efficiency of 30.62%. The Class-Based Storage method divides zones A, B, and C based on the distance to the shipping/receiving area (I/O Point), with zones closer to the point of collection (point O) having higher priority. The results of the Class-Based Storage Method show that a total of 30 class A pallets are needed, a total of 112 class B pallets are needed, and a total of 193 class C pallets are needed. Therefore, products are relocated according to this zone division.en_US
