dc.description.abstractRice production faces various challenges in the form of uncertainties in the use of resources such as harvest area, seed availability, fertilizer realization, and labor. This research aims to apply the fuzzy linear programming (FLP) method in optimizing programming (FLP) method in optimizing rice paddy production in North Sumatra Province by considering variables that affect rice paddy production. The fuzzy linear programming method was chosen because it is able to handle uncertainty through a fuzzy set approach and membership function, which results in an additive solution compared to the linear programming method. The model was built with secondary data from 2019-2023 and analyzed using a fuzzy approach with an uncertainty tolerance of 2.5%. The results showed that using linear programming obtained 21.012.375,7785 tons and using fuzzy linear programming the maximum Z value increased to 21.275.033,48 with a tolerance of 2.5% and a fuzzy membership function value of 0.5. These results show that fuzzy linear programming provides a more flexible and active solution in rice production planning under conditions of uncertainty.en_US
