This research, titled "The Nuruls and Liminality: A Phenomenon of Modern Era Trends in Desa Tembung," aims to understand the dynamics of liminality experienced by young Muslim women as they construct their identities at the intersection of religious tradition and modernity. The focus is on the "The Nuruls" phenomenon, a social representation of hijab-wearing young women adopting modern trends without abandoning religious values. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method conducted in Desa Tembung, a suburban area undergoing social changes due to urbanization and digitalization. Victor Turner's theory of liminality, including the concepts of drama analysis, symbolic theory, structure–anti structure, and liminal state, is used to analyze the informants’ transitional identity experiences. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with the primary informants being Muslim young women aged 19–24 who are active on social media and follow modern hijab fashion trends. The research findings reveal that "The Nuruls" experience a complex phase of liminality. They negotiate their identities through fashion, entertainment, and social interactions while maintaining religious symbols such as the hijab. Social media plays a significant role in shaping their self-expression but also reinforces the tension between conservative values and the demands of modernity. This study concludes that liminality serves as both a reflective and strategic space for young Muslim women to build a new, flexible, and adaptive identity amid social change.en_US
