Transformasi Novel The Architecture of Love Karya Ika Natassa ke Film The Architecture of Love Sutradara Taddy Soeriaatmadja: Kajian Ekranisasi

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ecranization process in the novel The Architecture Of Love by Ika Natasa which is depicted in the form of the film The Architecture Of Love directed by Teddy Soeriaatmadja. The researcher chose the topic of ecranization of events, elements and storylines that occur in the novel into the film. This researcher also analyzed the elements of the film's narrative structure to reveal the results of the transformation process that occurred in the film, there were additional characters. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method that describes data through changes that occur in the novel to the film. This study uses Pamusuk Eneste's ecranization theory with the title of the book novel and film. The data analysis technique used is to mark the parts that experience the phenomenon of change, data reduction, and data verification. The results of this study include intrinsic structure, film narrative structure, reduction, addition, and changes in variations that occur in the elements and storyline in the novel The Architecture Of Love to the film The Architecture Of Love. From the changes that occur in the film The Architecture Of Love, it can be seen that the film has quite a lot of changes, even some scenes in the film that are not told in the novel. Despite these changes, the film The Architecture Of Love is able to tell and depict what happens in the novel and does not change the storyline.
