Decision-making in the healthcare sector, particularly in determining the method of childbirth, is a complex process involving various medical and non-medical criteria. This study aims to implement the Fuzzy PROMETHEE method in a decision support system to determine the most appropriate childbirth method for pregnant women. Fuzzy PROMETHEE was chosen because it can handle uncertainty and subjectivity in multi criteria decision-making. The five main criteria used in this study include maternal age, parity, obstetric history, medical indications, and fetal factors. Secondary data were obtained from RSUD Dr. Pirngadi Medan, with a sample of 18 women who had given birth. The results of the analysis indicate that the ranking of alternatives varies depending on the preference weights used whether derived from expert opinion (doctors), chi-square test results, risk prevalence, or Mean Decrease Accuracy (MDA). The result of using the combined weight normalization achieved one of the highest accuracies, with a score of 77.78%, which falls into the “good” category. These findings suggest that the Fuzzy PROMETHEE method has the potential to serve as an objective and systematic decision-support tool in determining the appropriate method of delivery.
