Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of the Vice President's leadership on the performance of AIESEC members at Universitas Sumatera Utara. The background of this research is based on the crucial role of leadership in nonprofit organizations, especially in maintaining and enhancing the performance of volunteer members. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory method and a survey technique through questionnaires. The sample consisted of 62 active AIESEC members in 2024, comprising Team Leaders and Team Members. The instruments used were the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) and the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ). Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with SPSS. The study found that the Vice President's leadership has a positive influence on member performance, with a significance value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), a correlation coefficient of 1.332, and a coefficient of determination of 36%, while the remaining 64% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. The majority of participants (96.8%) perceived the leadership as effective, and most members (95.2%) were categorized as having high performance.
