    Abstract
Sand, rice straw powder, glass powder and epoxy resin are the ingredients of polymer concrete, which has been the subject of much research. The sand and rice straw powder are sieved with a 100 mesh sieve. Then the materials are mixed in a 60:40 ratio between sand and rice straw powder, glass powder (0.2, 4, 6, 8, 10 g) and epoxy resin (20, 30, 35) g. The mixture is pressed at a temperature of 900C for 30 minutes using the hot press method. The density, porosity, water absorption, tensile strength, flexural strength, compressive strength, and Scanning Electron Microscop (SEM) microstructure examination are the parameters observed. According to the results of the study, the best combination is as follows: This material has the following physical properties: density = 1.27 g/cm3, porosity = 16.95% and water absorption = 14.79%. The three mechanical properties included in the list of mechanical properties are: tensile strength (6.89 MPa), flexural strength (106.50 MPa) and compressive strength (47.70 MPa). The uneven distribution of porosity in the microstructure of polymer concrete is visible in the scanning electron micrograph. The EDX results in this investigation show that oxygen (O) accounts for 66.2% of the total, followed by carbon (C) at 29.5%, silica (2.8%), aluminium (0.5%), calcium (0.4%), magnesium (0.2%), sodium (0.2%), and potassium (0.2%). Finally, there is a small amount of calcium (Ca) and magnesium (0.2%). Traditional concrete is heavier than this polymer concrete.
