Bamboo is a potential biomass source as an alternative to wood. This study aims to
characterize OSB made from three types of bamboo, namely betung bamboo, black
bamboo, and belangke bamboo. OSB is made of three layers (face, core, back) with
a weight ratio of each layer of 1: 2: 1. The compression pressure used is 30 kgf/cm2
with a temperature of 160°C for 15 minutes. The adhesive material used is Isosiane.
The results of the study show: 1) Physical properties based on JIS A1 5908 - 2003,
ranging between 0.60-0.80 g / cm³ for density and 8.3-9.4% for water content. 2)
Mechanical properties based on JIS A1 5908 - 2003 standards, with values of
230.8-382.3 kgf/ cm² for MOR, 21090-39584 kgf / cm² for МОЕ, 1.83 - 6.92 kgf/
cm² for Internal Bonding. Based on the test results, all tests of OSB boards
combined with 3 types of bamboo meet the JIS A 5908 – 2003 standard.
