Nilai-Nilai Perjuangan Tokoh Utama dalam Novel Home Sweet Loan Karya Almira Bastari: Sosiologi Sastra

Abstract

Literary works are artistic expressions that reflect experiences, thoughts, and emotions, mirroring societal life. Novels portray the values of the main characters struggles. This research aims to describe the values of the main charachters struggles in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari, using a sociological literary approach. The data and sources for this research cosist of words and quotes from the text of the novel Home Sweet Loan.This research use a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection was conducted through a literature study (reading, listening, and noting). Data analysis techniques include identifying data, reducing data, and drawing conclucions. Data presentations is done narratively with relevant quotes. The results of this study show five values of the main characters struggle. There are 42 data points found, including, 12 data points on self-sacrifice, 18 data points on patience, 2 data points on teamwork, 3 data points on perseverance, and 7 data points on appreciation. These findings demonstrate the values of struggle that can be used as motivation and inspiration in achieving dreams.
