dc.description.abstractAttendance serves as a crucial indicator in education, particularly in assessing student discipline and academic progress. However, conventional attendance systems, such as manual signatures or semi-digital inputs, remain vulnerable to data manipulation, including the widespread practice of proxy attendance. To address these issues, this study develops an attendance system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using fingerprint technology integrated with a website platform. The system employs a fingerprint sensor to capture fingerprint images, which are then encoded into digital templates and verified through an ESP32 microcontroller. Upon successful verification, attendance data is automatically transmitted to a website using an HTTP POST request with token-based authentication. Additionally, the system features audio feedback via a DFPlayer Mini to confirm successful authentication to the user. The results of this development are expected to improve attendance recording efficiency, reduce the potential for data manipulation, and support real-time transparency in student attendance management.en_US
