Strategi Mitigasi Perubahan Iklim oleh Kelompok Tani Hutan di Desa Pasar Rawa Kabupaten Langkat

Abstract

Climate change has become a global threat that has a significant impact on various sectors, including the environment, economy and society, especially in rural areas such as Langkat. Climate change mitigation strategies are a series of activities designed to determine the action plan that will be taken in an effort to reduce the impact of climate change. Climate change mitigation strategies in Pasar Rawa Village, Langkat Regency are very much needed to understand effective steps that can be applied in dealing with climate change and encouraging economic growth in the local community. Through the right strategy, it is hoped that the Forest Farmer Group in Pasar Rawa Village will be able to adapt and contribute to efforts to mitigate climate change sustainably. This study aims to analyze the climate change mitigation strategies implemented by the Penghijauan Maju Bersama Forest Farmer Group in Pasar Rawa Village. This research was conducted in September 2024 - December 2024 in Pasar Rawa Village, Langkat Regency. The methods used include interviews, observations, descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis. Based on the calculation results of internal and external factors, it is in a position between the Weakness/Threat axis, namely quadrant IV, which means that the Penghijauan Maju Bersama Forest Farmers Group in facing climate change is advised to carry out a survival strategy by minimizing the weaknesses it has and avoiding various threats that can hinder climate change mitigation efforts, so that the Forest Farmers Group is able to face climate change effectively and sustainably.
